19世紀前半に一般的だったタイプのヴィオラ用顎当てをベースに、String King社独自のアレンジを加えたモデルです。

ネジが顎当ての下側に取り付けられており、顎当て全体がボディから数ミリ外に張り出す設計になっています。
これにより、首にネジが当たりにくくなり、また楽器本体が肌に触れる面積も減少。楽器本来の響きを活かしつつ、ニスの保護にもつながります。

Viola Chinrest – 19th Century Style
Classic design with modern comfort by String King

This chinrest is based on a popular 19th-century model, reimagined with String King's own unique twist.

The screw is mounted underneath the top plate, causing the chinrest to extend slightly beyond the edge of the viola. This design reduces contact with the player's neck and minimizes skin contact with the violin body—helping to preserve resonance and protect the varnish.
